Adventure / Drama
aka: Wolf Totem

Film Synopsis

In 1969, Chen Zhen, a young student from Peking, is sent to Inner Mongolia to educate a tribe of nomad herders.  It is Chen who has the most to learn in this inhospitable wild expanse of nature, not only from the herders, but also from the creature they most venerate, the wolf.  It isn't long before Chen becomes fascinated by the mysterious bond that connects these sacred animals and the nomadic tribesmen.  But this ancient bond between man and beast is threatened by the arrival of a man who has been authorised to exterminate by any means all of the wolves in the region...
