Fritz Lang was a German-American film director. He was born in Vienna, Austria on 5th December 1890 and died in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA on 2nd August 1976, aged 85.

His best films as a film director include Der Müde Tod (1921), Die Nibelungen: Kriemhilds Rache (1924), M (1931), The Woman in the Window (1944) and Beyond a Reasonable Doubt (1956), and whose best work as a screenwriter include Der Müde Tod (1921), Dr. Mabuse, der Spieler (1922), Die Nibelungen: Siegfried (1924), Metropolis (1927) and M (1931).
