Film Synopsis

Adam, once a former swimming champion, is now employed as a pool attendant at a luxury hotel in Ndjamena, Chad.  When the hotel comes under new management, Adam is forced, reluctantly, to surrender his job to his son, Abdel.  The country is plagued by civil war and the government is threatened by armed rebels.  The country's leaders appeal to the population to surrender their money or their children in the fight against the rebel uprising.  Adam has no money.  All he has is his son...
