Film Synopsis
Having led too active a life, the Marquis de Taupignac has grown old before his time and leads a dull existence, confined to his château. The village is just as morose, so to liven things up the Marquis invites a fairground troupe and arranges a competition: the first three couples to get married will win a prize. The three old maids of the village soon find there is no shortage of suitors keen to make honest women of them.© James Travers
