Film Synopsis

Tired of his humdrum provincial life, Victor Catignac spends his time writing songs.  Unbeknown to his parents, he goes to Paris and embarks on a new career in cabaret.  Just when he is starting to make a success of his life, his family turns up.  When his father orders him to go back home and work for the local butcher, Victor has no choice but to comply...
