Film Synopsis
Tobie is a hopeless daydreamer. He always has his head in the clouds, and this inevitably gets him into trouble with his employer. In the end, Tobie loses his job as a fairground performer and sinks into a state of abject despair. A visit to the fortune teller Madame Ignorantus is all it takes to restore his spirits, however. She predicts that Tobie is heading for a period of uncertainty, which the young man takes as a good sign on hearing that he is about to inherit a colossal fortune from an aged aunt. The fairground manager Patrice gets wind of Tobie's stroke of good fortune and immediately tries to take advantage of it by persuading the unlikely heir to buy the caravan belonging to the strong man Brutus...© James Travers
