Film Synopsis

During the second Chechen war of 1999, a small boy joins the tide of refugees after his parents are killed in his home village.  He meets Carole, a representative from the EU who will help him get his life back on track.  Unbeknown to him, his older sister, Raissa, is trying to find him amid the hoards of fleeing civilians.  Meanwhile, a 20-year-old Russian named Kolia has just enrolled in the army.  His life will soon be upset by the day to day experience of the war...
