Film Synopsis

Agust leaves Iceland to study management in Paris but soon abandons his studies so that he can devote himself to his real passion in life: music.  Several years later, he returns to his home country at the invitation of his father, Thordur, accompanied by his French fiancée Françoise.  Thordur is the owner of a fish cannery that is threatened by recent changes to fish quotas.  His company faces ruin but he refuses to take his eldest son's advice to sell it whilst he can.  Instead, Thordur hopes that Ahust will take over his business...
