Film Synopsis

An American couple are leading an idyllic life in India when tragedy strikes.  Maria is rendered disconsolate when she fails to prevent her son from drowning after a car accident.  Hearing about an ancient ritual, she undertakes a journey to a temple where she can bid a final farewell to her son.  In the temple there is a door that separates the living from the dead - a door that should never be opened.  Convinced she has heard the voice of her son behind the door, Maria is forced to open it.  As she does so, she releases the spirits of the dead into the world of the living - with catastrophic results...
