Film Synopsis

Marek, a young Polish man, is completing his studies at Paris in the 1970s when he meets Karen and begins a torrid love affair, which ends with him being diagnosed with pneumothorax.  He decides to have an operation to treat the condition in his home country.  Whilst in hospital, he manages to get a nurse pregnant and then falls in love with Christine, an airhostess, whom he follows to the United States.  Matters become complicated when Karen suddenly reappears and tells Marek that she is pregnant...
