Film Synopsis

The court of Vienna is masterfully managed by the Archduchess Sophie, mother of the young Emperor Franz Joseph.  Having employed a baroness to take charge of her son's sentimental education, Sophie decides to marry him to her niece, Helene of Bavaria.  Unfortunately, her plans are threatened when Franz Joseph falls in love with Helene's younger sister, Elisabeth, alias Sissi...
