Sam, unemployed and a cheerleader in her spare time, is fighting a desperate battle to retain custody of her young sister as she struggles to make ends meet.  With Céline, her roommate and best friend, she comes up with all manner of ruses to keep body and soul together - from flower arranging to running a sex phone line.  Then comes the day when an unexpected couple turn up on their doorstep...
