Film Synopsis

Late one November, Jérôme decides to abandon his family small holding in the country and find work in town.  He manages to find a job with the town council.  Assisted by Lucien, a 40-something municipal employee, he sets about putting up the town's Christmas decorations.  Meanwhile, the council have decided to outlaw begging in the town.  Jérôme is appalled when he learns that La Chignole, a vagrant he has befriended, is among the undesirables to be driven out of the town...
