Film Synopsis

After an argument with Don Gomez, a belligerent Don Diègue appeals to his son to avenge his honour.  Tired of his father's endless recriminations, Rodrigue (El Cid) arranges a fake duel with Don Gomez.  When Don Fernand makes up his mind to go to war with the Moors, Rodrigue is tasked with leading the offensive, whilst the Moor chief Moctadir marries with the Spanish princess...
