Qu'est-ce qui fait courir David? (1982)
Directed by Élie Chouraqui

Comedy / Drama / Romance

Film Synopsis

Undeterred by one box office failure, thirty-something filmmaker David is preparing his second film.  Once he has completed the script, he insists on reading it to his wife Anna, who is beginning to find him unbearably egocentric.  So wrapped up is David in his little world that Anna can barely bring herself to tell him that she is pregnant.  David even neglects his parents, and he is surprised when Hélène, the star of his first film, calls him up one day.  David's ordered world begins to fall apart when Anna makes up her mind to apply for a teaching job in the United States...
