Film Synopsis
Since they were teenagers, four friends have shared an unbridled passion
for black metal rock. They formed their own band, the Dead MaKabés,
and were soon performing in concerts at festivals the length and breadth
of Europe. Of course, as they grew older, adult responsibilities soon
forced their way into their lives, and by the time they were thirty they
had hampered themselves with all the shackles of a conventional middleclass
existence - job, wife, family and mortgage. Still, the four friends
keep in touch with each other and continue giving concerts, but it is by
now clear that their musical career has all but run its course.
An invitation to perform at a prestigious musical event proves too much of
a temptation, so the four friends agree to attend this on the understanding
that it will be their last gig together. It turns out to be a more
eventful excursion than any of them had anticipated. As a result of
an accident in the middle of the night, the friends find themselves on the
run from the police. To evade capture, they have no choice but to ditch
their distinctive vampire look and try to pass themselves off as hippies.
It is the ultimate humiliation, but needs must when the Devil drives...
