aka: A Wedding

Film Synopsis

Zahira is like any other 18-year-old girl living in Belgium and enjoys the freedom that life in the West offers her.  But she is of Pakistani origin and her parents have decided that the time has come for her to get married.  None of the three men that her parents have selected for her appeals to Zahira, who remains adamant that she will only marry a man she loves.  She can count on the support of her brother Amir, but her older sister, who has already been forced to marry a husband chosen for her, is determined to make her see sense.  Zahira then meets Pierre and realises she is in love.  It is left to André, Pierre's father, to persuade Zahira's parents to allow her to marry the man of her choice...
