Drama
aka: Monsieur Ibrahim

Film Synopsis

In the 1960s, Momo, 13, lives with his father in a modest area of Paris.  He has no recollection of his mother, who is thought to have died some time ago, or his elder brother.  He hardly knows his father, who is withdrawn and distant.  When his father commits suicide, Momo finds himself completely alone and survives only by selling off his family's possessions.  An old Arab grocer across the street, Monsieur Ibrahim, takes a fatherly interest in Momo and takes him under his wing.  It is through this wise old man that the boy learns about life, women, and love...
