Mon garçon (2017)
Directed by Christian Carion

Drama / Thriller

Film Synopsis

It was Julien Perrin's obsessive love of travelling that destroyed his marriage and led him to be separated from both his wife Marie and their young son Mathys.  A natural free spirit and committed geologist, Perrin doesn't regret his life choices - until the fateful day when he is contacted by his former wife after a long period of separation.  So distressed that she can barely get her words out, Marie reveals that their son has suddenly gone missing without trace.

Without a moment's delay, Julien hurries back to the region of eastern France where his seven-year-old son went missing during a school camping expedition with his classmates.  The forty-something geologist naturally blames himself for the fate that has befallen his son and, fearing the worst, he sets about looking for him with an almost manic sense of purpose.  It isn't long before Julien suspects Marie's latest boyfriend, Grégoire Rochas, may be implicated in the boy's disappearance...
