Film Synopsis

Diane knows that she will never get over the death of her son.  Her only desire now is to find the driver of the car that ran him over and deliver her own idea of justice.  She cannot wait for the police to do their work and track down the culprit.  She must do it herself.  With the help of a private detective, she soon traces the owner of the mocha-coloured car that killed her son.  She is Marlène, the owner of a perfume shop in Evian.  Diane bides her time - after all, revenge is a dish that is best served cold.  With steely determination and feline cunning, she inveigles her way into her victim's confidence and soon convinces her that she is her friend, not her executioner.  Meanwhile, she has obtained a gun with which she intends inflicting the coup de grâce, when the moment is right.  Despite her husband's frequent appeals to let justice run its course, Diane sticks to her plan, savouring the moment of retribution that is now so near, and so deserved....
