Les Éléphants (2014)
Directed by Emmanuel Saada

Drama

Film Synopsis

The onset of middle-age is a traumatic experience, as a handful of friends discover as their dreaded fortieth birthday comes ever closer, a beacon of despair marking the definitive end of their youth.  The loss of a loved one, coping with the strains of parenthood, the seemingly futile quest for personal happiness or the breakdown of family relationships - there seems to be no end of traumas coming the way of the unsuspecting 40-something.  Some are equipped to cope better than others.  For some, this is all part of growing up and learning who you are.  For others, it is a nerve-racking ordeal that eats away at an individual's resolve and leaves him or her questioning everything.  Existential crises come thick and fast once you have passed your 35th birthday - and the fun never seems to stop...
