Film Synopsis

A young French woman makes several visits to Trieste, tracing the footsteps of Bobi Volher, who died several years ago.  In this fascinating city that is so steeped in history she looks up those who knew Bobi, in an attempt to understand why this enigmatic individual, an intellectual and great admirer of the arts, never wrote anything himself.  Was he a man who was content to make his life his work, or was he simply a failed artist who preferred to leave no trace of his work?
