Le Plus vieux métier du monde (1967) Directed by Claude Autant-Lara, Mauro Bolognini
Comedy / Drama
aka: The Oldest Profession
Film Synopsis
This anthology film consists of six short sketches which depict
prostitution through the ages, beginning in prehistoric times.
After a visit to the Roman era, the French Revolution and the Belle
Époque, we arrive in the year 2000... Prostitution may be
the oldest profession in the world, but attitudes towards it have
certainly changed over the years...
Since the 1920s, Hollywood has dominated the film industry, but that doesn't mean American cinema is all bad - America has produced so many great films that you could never watch them all in one lifetime.
In his letters to his friends and family, Franz Kafka gives us a rich self-portrait that is surprisingly upbeat, nor the angst-ridden soul we might expect.
