Film Synopsis

In the docks of Bordeaux, Superintendent Michel Verta investigates the murder of Jean Morane, a homosexual ventriloquist who performed at a small cabaret in the town.  Verta soon realises that the killing is drugs-related and one obvious suspect is Manuel Garcia, another employee of the cabaret who is mixed up in drugs trafficking.  Interviewing the other people who work at the cabaret, Verta meets a young musician, Bernard Mirande.  Although he is happily married, Verta finds himself irresistibly drawn to Mirande and begins a gay love affair with him...
