Film Synopsis

Franck Friedmayer spent a traumatic childhood growing up in a brothel run by his mother, Madame Irma.  Despite the kindness and affection shown him by his neighbour Suzy, Franck was a rebellious adolescent.  During the Occupation, he became a ruthless crook and murderer.  Rejecting Suzy's love for him, he preferred to wallow in his abject solitude.  Tortured by the Nazis, Franck was finally able to redeem himself, and Suzy is left with the memory of a brave man.
