Film Synopsis

Alice is a feisty forty-year-old career woman who appears to be perfectly happy with her life.  She has a well-paid job with a bank and has ample opportunity to indulge her passion for modern art.  The only thing missing from her life is a man, but she has got used to that by now, or so she thinks.  It was some years ago that she lost her husband in a stupid road accident, and since that terrible day she hasn't been able to so much as look at another man.  The shock of losing her loved one has left a permanent scar on Alice and she knows she will never be lucky in love again.

Fortunately for Alice, she has two devoted friends, Pénélope and Isabelle, who have taken it as their life's ambition to help rekindle her now dormant love life.  So far, Alice has been able to resist all of their well-meaning attempts to fix her up with a new beau, but they persist, convinced that one day the stubborn woman will come to her senses and rediscover the joys of unbridled lust.  To that end, the two friends coerce the committed widow into spending a weekend in the luxurious environs of the Hôtel Normandy.  If this doesn't reawaken Alice's interest in men nothing will...
