En amont du fleuve (2016)
Directed by Marion Hänsel

Adventure / Drama

Film Synopsis

A one time lorry driver, Homer now runs his own company at the age of fifty.  He is surprised to discover that he has a half-brother, Joé, who is about his age and earns his crust as a writer.  Homer envies Joé for having known his father, since all he has is a single photograph of the man he never met.  The sudden death of their father comes as a shock to both men, so they agree to embark on an expedition together in Croatia.  In a small boat, they begin their river journey towards a waterfall, each on a separate quest to find out more about the father they hardly knew.  On the way, they encounter Sean, an Irish adventurer who might be able to furnish them with some more information about their father's mysterious demise...
