Film Synopsis

In Seraing, a small town in Belgium, Sandra works at a factory that manufactures solar panels.  A wife and mother, she badly needs her job, but a bout of nervous exhaustion compels her to take sick leave.  When she is well enough to return to work she is informed that her managers intend to make her redundant, by offering her co-workers a one thousand euro bonus in exchange for the extra work.  Encouraged by her husband Manu, Sandra sets out to persuade her colleagues to turn down the bonus so that she can keep her job.  This she intends to do by visiting them one by one in the course of a weekend.  It soon becomes apparent to her that she faces an uphill task, as every one of the people she speaks to has good reason to accept the bonus, since times are hard and even a modest amount of extra cash is a godsend.  Sandra's fate will be sealed on Monday morning when the vote is cast - either to re-instate her or dismiss her for good.  The result turns out to be not in her favour.  She then faces a difficult decision of her own when her boss summons her to his office and offers her an unexpected proposal...
