Film Synopsis

Esther is an old Jewish woman who requires constant care.  Unfortunately, she is often moody and recalcitrant, and no nurse is able to put up with her bad temper for long.  When the latest of Esther's suffering carers gives her notice, the old woman's son Elijah has no idea what to do next.  Selima, his mother's day nurse, comes to the rescue.  She recommends Halima, a practicing Muslim.  Against all expectations, Esther takes a liking to Halima and the two women gain an immediate friendship and mutual respect.  Halima even manages to restore Esther's zest for living...
