Film Synopsis
Gobert is unemployed and saddled with debt. There is no way he will be able to pay off the forty loans he has so far managed to accumulate. There are many people in the same situation as him on the poor housing estate where he lives, where bailiffs are a frequent visitor. Rather than give in, Gobert fights back by creating his own new system of credit, which does not impose time limits and is based on the borrowers' honesty rather than their liquidity. The scheme soon catches on and before long it has caught the attention of some pretty important people...© James Travers
