Couple in a Hole (2015)
Directed by Tom Geens

Drama / Thriller

Film Synopsis

John and Karen, a Scottish couple, turn their backs on civilisation and live far from the milling throng in the heart of a forest in the French Pyrenees.  Home for them is a hole in the ground, beneath the trunk of a dead tree.  Every day, John goes out to look for food, whilst Karen remains in their hole making clothes out of animal skins.  One day, Karen is badly stung by a spider and soon falls ill.  Anxious, John sets out to look for assistance and encounters a French farmer named André who lives in  the area.  André becomes fascinated by the Scottish couple and wonders what led them to live such a basic life.  Little does he know that John and Karen have a secret that they are determined to keep to themselves...
