Film Synopsis

With the help of her daughter, Paule, Madame Krantz runs a boarding house on the Atlantic coast.  She spends her days gossiping with her neighbour, Laurie, with whom she drains many bottles of gin.  Laurie lives only for her one night stands with desirable young men - a hobby that one day costs her her life, as one of her gigolos, Michel Sauvage, cuts her throat.  Madame Krantz swears to avenge the death of her friend, not knowing that Michel, who lives by exploiting wealthy widows, has her in his sights...
