Film Synopsis

Since she lost her husband and son in a car accident some years ago, Adeline has lived alone, tended to by her Chinese housekeeper.  She works as an air hostess, and after one particularly exhausting flight she returns home and agrees to baby-sit for her housekeeper whilst she goes off for a few hours.  Several hours later, Adeline is still left with a six year old boy in her care, and no sign of his mother. When her housekeeper fails to return, Adeline becomes concerned and appeals to her sister Delphine to help her find the absent mother.

As the boy cannot speak a word of French, Adeline finds she can only communicate with him by her facial expressions.  Dubbing the child Cookie, the air hostess soon develops a fondness for him as she gradually begins to gain his confidence.  All too easily, Cookie comes to replace the child that Adeline lost in such tragic circumstances, but surely she will have to go through the upset of another parting, when the boy is reunited with his rightful parent?
