Comment j'ai rencontré mon père (2017)
Directed by Maxime Motte

Comedy

Film Synopsis

Enguerrand is a small African boy who now lives in France with his adopted parents Eliott and Ava.  That Eliott loves his adopted son as devotedly as any father is more than apparent, and Ava is anxious that perhaps he is smothering him with too much affection.  Enguerrand is content with his new life but he can't help wondering what became of his biological father who, unbeknown to him, died some time ago.  One day, the boy encounters a migrant named Kwabena and, because they have the same skin colour, convinces himself that this is his long-lost father.  Before he knows it Kwabena is himself adopted, offered a place to stay in Enguerrand's bedroom.  The stranger's arrival is about to perturb the happy household and pose serious problems for Eliott and Ava, who are at a complete loss as to how to break the truth to their adopted son...
