Animation / Adventure / Comedy / Fantasy
aka: Asterix and the Vikings
Film Synopsis
Astérix and Obélix have their work cut out when they are
tasked with making a man of Goudurix, their chieftain's adolescent
nephew. Not only is Goudurix a coward of the first rank, he shows
no sign of changing no matter what the well-meaning Astérix
throws at him. Meanwhile, the Vikings have arrived in Gaul,
looking for a 'champion of fear' who will bring them success in their
subsequent raids. When Goudurix is kidnapped by the Vikings
Astérix and Obélix hastily set about rescuing him.
In spite of himself, Goudurix is soon involved in a devious plot that
will lead him to the beautiful Abba...

French cinema during the Nazi Occupation
Even in the dark days of the Occupation, French cinema continued to impress with its artistry and diversity.
Since the 1920s, Hollywood has dominated the film industry, but that doesn't mean American cinema is all bad - America has produced so many great films that you could never watch them all in one lifetime.
