Film Synopsis

Every day, the gates to Rennes prison open briefly to allow admittance to families of the prison detainees.  For the most part they are women, the Penelopes of our time, who choose to live virtually on the prison doorstep.  They come two or three times a week just to exchange a few words with their husbands or boyfriends.  Their visits may continue for months, maybe even years.  The routine does not seem to bother them...
