Film Synopsis
Fatima lives alone with her two daughters who could not be more different. A rebellious teenager, 15-year old Souad is nothing like her older sister Nesrine, who has just started studying for a degree in medicine. Fatima still struggles with her French, which complicates her relationship with her daughters. To give her children the best start in life, Fatima works long and difficult hours as a cleaner. One day, she falls down the stairs and is unable to carry on working. As she recovers, Fatima begins to write down in her own language what she cannot say to her daughters in French.© James Travers
