Film Synopsis

The pilot Jacques Forestier and his mechanic Paul Marcadour miraculously evade death when their light aircraft crashes in the desert near to Dakar.  It is with the help of a friend, Pierre Aubry, that they manage to get back to Paris.  On the return journey, Jacques recognises an air hostess as his old flame Claire Magny, with whom he had a passionate love affair three years previously.  Claire is far from pleased to see Jacques.  After he walked out on her she attempted suicide and then gave up her ambitions to become an actress.  Now she is engaged to Pierre and has no intention of resuming her former love affair with Jacques.  Unfortunately, her feelings for Jacques are far from extinguished and it doesn't take much for the affair to be rekindled...
