Terence Young was a British film director and screenwriter. He was born in Shanghai, China on 20th June 1915 and died in Cannes, Alpes-Maritimes, France on 7th September 1994, aged 79.

His best films as a film director include They Were Not Divided (1950), Dr. No (1962), From Russia with Love (1963), Wait Until Dark (1967) and L'Arbre de Noël (1969), and whose best work as a screenwriter include They Were Not Divided (1950), Dr. No (1962) and L'Arbre de Noël (1969).
