Bela Lugosi was a Hungarian-American actor whose birth name was Bela Ferenc Dezso Blasko. He was born in Lugos, Hungary on 20th October 1882 and died in Los Angeles, California, USA on 16th August 1956, aged 73.

His best films as an actor include F.W. Murnau's Der Januskopf (1920), Ernst Lubitsch's comedy Ninotchka (1939), Rowland V. Lee's Son of Frankenstein (1939), Alan James's crime-thriller SOS Coast Guard (1942) and Robert Wise's thriller The Body Snatcher (1945).
