Robert Hossein is a French actor, film director and screenwriter whose birth name is Robert Hosseinoff. He was born in Paris, France on 30th December 1927.

His best films as an actor include Marcel Bluwal's Le Monte-Charge (1962), Julien Duvivier's crime-thriller Chair de poule (1963), Le Vampire de Düsseldorf (1965), Bernard Borderie's Angélique et le roy (1966) and Claude Lelouch's Les Uns et les autres (1981), and whose best work as a film director include Les Salauds vont en enfer (1956), Le Vampire de Düsseldorf (1965) and Les Misérables (1982).

Robert Hossein has so far appeared in 95 films, scripted 16 films and directed 15 films.
