Film Synopsis
In 1932, a worker in a Soviet factory is skimming through a German magazine when his eyes fall on some photographs of Berlin. This provokes him to recall his past, with regret. The man is Paul Martin. Before the war, he was a successful car manufacturer in Germany. In 1916, whilst fighting for his country, Paul sustained an injury that temporarily robbed him of his memory. His physical and mental wounds changed him so much that no one, neither his wife nor his friends, recognised him. With the help of his friend, Julot, Paul made a determined attempt to convince the authorities of his identity, but his efforts were in vain. In the end, he had no choice but to change his name and begin a new life...© James Travers
