In 18th century Flanders, a young nobleman named Ramon de Ortila adopts the guise of a gentleman brigand so that he can take revenge against the man who robbed him of his estate.  His victim is Monsieur de Saint-Brissac, whose daughter Solange has arranged a trap to lure him to her father's house, for motives known only to herself...
