La Peste is a French-British film drama first released in France on 26th August 1992, directed by Luis Puenzo. Cinematography was by Félix Monti. It is based on a novel by Albert Camus and stars William Hurt, Sandrine Bonnaire, Jean-Marc Barr, Robert Duvall and Raul Julia. It has also been released under the title: The Plague.   It is a Compagnie Française Cinématographique production, produced by Christian Charret and distributed by Gaumont. Location filming was in Argentina.   It is a color film and runs to 2 hours and 28 minutes.  

Our overall rating for La Peste is: good - passable entertainment.
