Film Synopsis

Elisa has long harboured a desire to uncover the identity of her mother, which has been kept from her since she was born.  Under French law, a woman who gives up her child for adoption has her identity protected in perpetuity, so as much as Elisa may want to find her biological mother the system is not on her side.  All that she knows for certain is that she was born in the Normandy town of Dunkirk.  So, when she moves to this town to take up a new position as a physiotherapist, accompanied by her young son Noé, she cannot resist undertaking a search for her lost mother.  The young woman strikes up a friendship with one of her patients, Annette, who works in the canteen of the school attended by her son.  Little does Elisa know that Annette is the parent she is so desperately hoping to be reunited with...
