Gaston Modot was a French actor whose birth name was Jean-Charles Barniaud. He was born in Paris, France on 30th December 1887 and died in Paris, France on 24th February 1970, aged 82.

(1924), Henri Fescourt's Monte Cristo (1929), Luis Buñuel's L'Âge d'or (1930), Georg Wilhelm Pabst's comedy L'Opéra de quat'sous (1931) and Jacques Becker's Antoine et Antoinette (1947), and whose best work as a screenwriter include Louis Daquin's Nous les gosses (1941) and Gilles Grangier's Leçon de conduite (1946).
