Review Almost the antithesis of the modern crime thriller, Un honnête commerçant is an atypical Belgian film that gives a dark Kafkaesque twist to the familiar police procedural drama.  Despite the film’s slow pace, slightly stilted direction and lack of action sequences, it manages to hold the viewer’s attention, thanks mainly to the creditable performances from the lead actors.
