Summary
Hélène Régnier walks out on her drug-addicted husband Charles after he brutally attacks their son.   She stays in a run-down hotel whilst her injured son convalesces in hospital and files for divorce.  Charles’ bourgeois parents are determined that Hélène loses custody of her child and so engage a private detective, Paul Thomas, to discredit her.  When Paul fails to uncover any incriminating evidence against Hélène he starts plying her with hallucinogenic drugs and begins weaving a cruel web of deceit, leading to a harrowing and dramatic climax...
